This research work examine the effect of small and medium scale enterprises on Nigeria Economy. The study adopted a survey research and sampled 100 participant from five different organization in Ikeja Local Government in Lagos State using a questionnaire. The questionnaire were analysed using simple percentage and chi-square analysis. The findings of the study revealed that small and medium scale enterprises have a significant effect on the development of Nigerian economy. Government, chamber of commerce and industries should therefore regularly organize seminars for potential and actual small and medium enterprises operators while they should be educated on hot to plan, organize, direct and control their business to foster the Nigeria economy.
