Description

The study was designed to investigate the prevalence of sexual risk behaviour among university undergraduates. The study utilised descriptive survey design. The instrument that was used to seek for information in this study was Sexual risk Behaviour Questionnaire. The questionnaire was administered on 200 undergraduates’ students from four different department in Faculty of Social and Management Sciences of Olabisi Onabanjo University. Three hypotheses were stated and tested with T-test for independent measure. Results revealed that both fresh and outgoing undergraduates are prone to sexual risk behaviour. It also showed that male undergraduates and female undergraduates have a significant difference in their sexual risk behaviour. Furthermore, the last result indicated that majority of undergraduates are prone to high sexual risk behaviour. The study therefore concluded that it is essential for students to receive sex education before gaining access to higher institution.
