Description

This study investigated the possible policy resulting in the teaching of economics for important performance in senior secondary level focusing on Ijebu-North Local Government of Ogun State, Nigeria. Two research questions were raised to guide the study. The study adopted a descriptive survey using questionnaire as the prime instrument to gather information from the participant of the study. The study revealed policy in support of school subject economics really serve to enhance the academic performance of students. The findings of the study also showed that school authority are really working towards achieving the goals of teaching economics in senior secondary school. The study therefore recommends that seminars should be organize for the teachers on the importance and usefulness of the policy laid down by the National Policy for Education so as for the teachers to implement all this policy into their teaching.
