ABSTRACT
This study examines effective communication as a strategy for enhancing organization performance. It highlights the impact of interdepartmental communication on employee performance; impact of effective communication on organization performance and also determines the effect of effective communication on employee performance in organization. The study was anchored on Organizational theory and Cybernetics theory. Descriptive survey design was adopted using questionnaire as the prime instrument to generate data (60) staff drawn of First City Monument Bank in Ijebu axis. Data generated was analysed using descriptive statistics such as simple percentage and Pearson Moment Correlation Coefficient. Findings from the study reveals that there is no statistical significant relationship between interdepartmental communication and organization employee performance (r-.024<0.05). It shows that there is a statistical significant relationship between Effective Communication and Organization Performance (0.557>0.05). However, there is no statistical significant relationship between effective communication and employee performance. The negative result might as a result of lack of internal and personal communication among the employees. Among other recommendation is that organizations should regularly articulate it policies, goals and objectives to it workers in other to improve work performance.
