ABSTRACT
This study investigated corporate governance and worker’s productivity in Olabisi Onabanjo University. It specifically examine the relationship between ethical conduct and worker’s performance in Olabisi Onabanjo University and as well observe the impact of corporate governance on workers’ productivity in Olabisi Onabanjo University.
Descriptive survey research design was adopted by this study and the target population was nine hundred and eighty one (981) staff of five faculties at the main campus of Olabisi Onabanjo University were used as sample. Data were generated through questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics of percentage, multiple regression analysis and correlation analysis at 0.05 level of significance with the aid of statistical package for social science.
Findings of this study revealed there was no significant impact of corporate governance on worker’s performance in Olabisi Onabanjo University (0.351, p>0.05). Results showed that there was no significant impact of corporate governance on worker’s performance in Olabisi Onabanjo University at 0.05 level of significance.
It was concluded that there was no significant impact of corporate governance on worker’s performance. However, good corporate governance system is capable facilitating job satisfaction, the need to create one, maintain and improve it is a clarion call on all organizational leaders. Among other recommendation is that lecturers should consistently undertake seminar courses that would improve their productivity and services they render.
