The study investigated the influence of motivation on labour productivity in growth of manufacturing firm using Nigeria Breweries PLC, Lagos as a case study. Subjects for the study consisted of two hundred staff of Nigeria Breweries PLC, Lagos. Data for the study were gathered through the administration of a self-designed questionnaire. The data collected were subjected to appropriate statistical analysis using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient, and all the findings were tested at 0.05 level of significance. The result obtained from the analysis showed that there existed relationship between the quality of staffs motivation and performance at work. The study therefore recommends that organization needs to consider the needs and feelings of its workforce and not just overlook them in order to safeguard industrial harmony.
