Description

The broad objective of this study was to examine the influence of employee compensation on performance. This is imperative because the success and the survival of any organization are determined by the way the workers are remunerated and rewarded. In order to achieve the broad objective of this study, two hypotheses were raised for validation. The simple random sampling technique was used to select a sample of one fifty workers of Blessed Pure water, Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria. The data for the analysis of the model were collected by the researcher through a self structure designed questionnaire. Regression analysis technique and T-test of independence were adopted for the analysis and the result of the estimation was facilitated using the statistical package for social and management sciences (SPSS). From the data analysis, it was at evident that employee compensation significantly influences their performance. The result of the hypothesis one shows that there is a significant difference in performance among male and female workers based on compensation. The result of the hypothesis two shows that compensation has significant effect on employee performance. Among others the study recommends that, organizations should ensure the provision of good welfare packages that will encourage and promote employees performance.
