ABSTRACT

This study investigates technology resources and firm profitability. It specifically examine the effect of technology complexity on firm profitability; investigates the effect of firm resources on firm profitability. 97 staff was used for the study and Questionnaire drawn distinctly to suit the purpose of this study were administered to various respondents in a 5 point scale of Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagreed. The multiple regression analysis statistical tool was used in testing the hypotheses. It was found that there is statistically significant effect of technology complexity on firm profitability; there is statistically significant effect of firm resources on firm profitability; and finally there is statistically significant combine effect of technology complexity and firm resources on firm profitability. Therefore, the research concludes that technology complexity and firm resources is a core factor that influencing companies’ performance. Companies should therefore keep updating their technological systems so as to cope with the changing customer needs for better performance.
