Description

The study investigates perceive effects of family structure and family structure and parental involvement on students’ academic achievement in secondary school Business studies.

The simple random sampling techniques was used to select a sample size of one hundred and sixty one (161) respondents in four schools from six existing schools in the study areas.

The aggression analysis was used to analysis the data findings of the study reveals that parental involvement and family structure influences students’ achievements in business studies.

The study therefore, recommend that parent should create conducive home environment that promotes learning and actively involves themselves in their children academic activities.

On the basis of findings, the following recommendations were made: There should be proper funding of education by government, sensitization of payment towards their children education, also schools should provide necessary assistance to students especially those from single parents family to enable them overcome their emotional concerns.
