ABSTRACT
The research was conducted to examine the effect of business environment on organisational performance. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for this study. The sample for this study comprised of thirty-seven (37) staff of Wema Bank Plc in Ago-Iwoye. A self-designed and validated structured questionnaire was used to gather data from the sampled population. The data gathered was subjected to statistical analysis using Pearson Moment Correlation Coefficient analysis. The findings revealed that there was no significant effect of internal business environment on organisational performance, there was no significant effect of external environment on organisational performance. Lastly, result revealed that there was no a significant composite effect of business environment on organisational performance. It was concluded both internal environment and external environment did not have significant effect on organisational performance. Hence, the study recommended that manager should improve on management level, worker welfare, consider government policies and improve on the technological equipment used for business in order to enhance organisational performance.
