Description

This study investigated Secondary School Teacher’s Knowledge about Ebola virus. Ebola viruses constitute a serious threat to both human and wildlife health and there have been different awareness campaign. This study adopted a survey research design. Questionnaire was used to gather information from 100 secondary school teachers that were randomly selected for the study. The findings of the study revealed that secondary school teachers are aware of Ebola virus. The finding showed that secondary school teachers are knowledgeable about Ebola virus. The study also reviewed that female teachers are more knowledgeable about Ebola virus than male teachers. The study indicated that there is a slight different in knowledge of science and social science teachers. Recommendation was therefore made that Government should organize seminars for teachers on Ebola virus awareness in order to improve their knowledge on Ebola virus.
